Two ways in, and the first one never leaves your phone. The vendor steps below were checked against each vendor's current help documentation.
A Strava share card, from your phone
- Open the run in the Strava app and share it. Strava builds a card image of that activity.
- Save the card to your photos.
- Upload that image here. It has to show the map and the numbers in one frame: we trace the map and print the numbers, so a slide with only the stats on it has nothing to draw.
Send the card at the size your phone saved it. Passing it through a chat app first re-compresses it, and a heavily shrunk card is the one case we have measured a refusal on. A photo of your screen does not read either: save the card, then upload the file.
A hilly run works too. On one, Strava prints Elevation where the pace normally sits. Your sheet then states distance and time — one stat fewer, and no pace we did not measure. If you want the pace on it, send the .gpx export of that run instead, as below.
Strava, as a GPX export
- Open Strava in a web browser and sign in.
- Open your activity, choose the more (•••) menu, then Export GPX.
- Upload the downloaded
.gpx file here. Strava’s mobile app does not provide this export.

Apple Fitness / Apple Watch
Apple Fitness does not offer a one-run GPX download. Apple’s built-in export is a full Health-data XML archive, which Traceform does not accept in round 1.
- If the workout already syncs to Strava, open that activity on the Strava website.
- Choose more (•••) → Export GPX, then upload the downloaded file here.
- If it is only in Apple Health, use a Health-compatible route exporter you already trust to create a GPX. Review that app’s privacy terms before granting Health access.

- Select GPX, save or share the file to this device, then upload it here.

Nike Run Club
Nike documents an account-data download, not a single-run GPX export.
- In a web browser, open your Nike account settings and choose Privacy → Download Your Data → Request Data.
- Nike says the download link can take up to seven days. Check the archive for a GPX route file.
- If the archive does not contain GPX, Traceform cannot accept that run in round 1. A run already synced to Strava can be exported from the Strava website instead.
Official Nike data-download instructions
Round 1 accepts a Strava share card as a PNG or JPEG, or a GPX file. We do not import activity links, accept files by email, or connect to accounts.
